Business Account Opening Requirements

In order to open a business account at Community First Credit Union, your business must be registered and active in the State of Florida (Sunbiz), and eligible for membership. To be eligible membership, your business must operate its headquarters in one of the 19 Northeast Florida counties we serve, have a responsible individual who lives, works or goes to school in one of these counties, or is related to a current member. To ensure security, we'll also require a valid unexpired United States government-issued photo ID, and valid social security or tax identification numbers for all responsible individuals and authorized signers.
Documentation required to open accounts by Business type
Not all business types are the same. Depending on your business type, you’ll need to provide us with different documentation. Find your business category below and see what we'll need from you to get started.
Sole Proprietor
- Fictitious name filing with State of Florida if using DBA name
- Valid unexpired United States government-issued photo ID and valid social security or tax identification numbers for all responsible individuals and authorized signers An unexpired valid ID and social security number for responsible individual and any authorized signers
Single Owner LLC
- State of Florida LLC registration showing person opening account listed as officer, owner, or director
- Fictitious name filing with State of Florida if using DBA name
- Valid unexpired United States government-issued photo ID and valid social security or tax identification numbers for all responsible individuals and authorized signers • Beneficial Owner Certification Form
Partnership
- Partnership Agreement or State of Florida registration showing account opener as listed Partner
- Fictitious name filing with State of Florida (if Limited Partnership)
- Proof of Federal Tax ID Number
- Valid unexpired United States government-issued photo ID and valid social security or tax identification numbers for all responsible individuals and authorized signers
- One Partner can open an account, but two Partners must sign the Business Resolution of Authority prior to account opening
- Beneficial Owner Certification Form
Multi-Owner LLC
- State of Florida LLC registration showing person opening the account listed as officer, owner, or director
- Proof of Federal tax ID number
- Valid unexpired United States government-issued photo ID and valid social security or tax identification numbers for all responsible individuals and authorized signers
- One individual listed as officer, owner, or director on Florida LLC registration can open an account, but two of these individuals must sign the Business Resolution of Authority prior to account opening
- Beneficial Owner Certification Form
Corporation
- State of Florida Corporate registration showing person opening the account listed as Officers
- Proof of Federal Tax ID Number
- Valid unexpired United States government-issued photo ID and valid social security or tax identification numbers for all responsible individuals and authorized signers
- One individual listed as officer, owner, or director on Florida Corporate registration can open an account, but two of these individuals must sign the Business Resolution of Authority prior to account opening
- Beneficial Owner Certification Form
