Community Outreach
We are excited that together with Blue Zones Project, we will create a new, first of its kind, financial well-being program to be utilized as a key component of improving community well-being.
This will integrate with their original program to help people live longer and better through community transformation programs that lower healthcare costs, improve productivity, and boost national recognition as great places to live, work, and play.
The Jacksonville Icemen is a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2017–18 season. In 2019, Community First renewed our commitment as the presenting season sponsor. This agreement extends until the 2024 hockey season.
We are also proud to support The Icemen Foundation. Their mission is to invest resources and leadership for the enrichment of the Jacksonville area, focusing on meeting basic human needs and enhancing the lives of those in need. The Icemen Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the community that cheers on their team.
Building upon our commitment to youth development, we are thrilled to have launched the Community First Jr. Icemen youth hockey programs in 2022, with Community First serving as the proud presenting sponsor.
In 2020, Community First renewed its season sponsorship commitment for five more years, supporting the nonprofit corporation responsible for managing and programming the Florida Theatre since 1987. This public/private partnership with the City of Jacksonville ensures the continued operations of this iconic institution.

By participating in this event, not only will you experience a thrilling run, but you'll also contribute to a noble cause. We are proud to support the Mandarin Food Bank, with one dollar from every entry fee going directly towards this charitable organization. Additionally, you can make a difference by bringing a canned good or non-perishable item when you collect your race packet or on race day.
Let's unite as a community, promote fitness, and show our generosity this Thanksgiving. Lace up your running shoes and be a part of this memorable race that combines passion, scenic beauty, and philanthropy!

Before his death in 1992, Raymond A. Vinson was a nationally recognized credit union pioneer. He helped form more than 40 Florida credit unions (including the Duval County Teachers Credit Union, founded in 1935, now Community First Credit Union of Florida). Vinson's legacy of dedication, compassion and commitment to the credit union movement will forever touch lives.
To honor Raymond A. Vinson, Community First annually awards scholarships annually to five college freshmen up to $8,000 ($2,000 annually per student, renewable for four years).
Today the Clay County Fair is accepted not only as one of the largest county fairs in America, but has the added honor of being considered as one of the most rural-oriented fairs still in operation. The enlargement of the agribusiness/farm machinery display area to thirty-five acres made it the largest such display of any fair in the United States or Canada. Altogether, there are more 2500 fairs operating in the US and Canada, and the Clay County Fair ranks in the top 100 in attendance annually.
Community First offers ongoing support of this local treasure. In addition to financial support, Community First’s Clay County branches operate as ticket purchase sites, providing fairgoers ease and convenience of securing their advance tickets.
