We help fund classroom grants for Duval County public school teachers, particularly in Title I schools, to support innovative and inclusive learning, so all students can have the tools they need to succeed. Classroom grants can provide teachers flexible seating, sensory tools, and equity-based teaching strategies that enhance classroom engagement and student achievement. We also invest in JPEF’s Teacher Leadership Initiative, a program that provides educators with professional development in equity, peer mentorship, and leadership.

BASCA was founded by parents who sought ability-focused services for their children and our partnership helps ensure everyone with differences has access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.

Jacksonville Public Library's Center for Adult Learning stands as a beacon of support, serving more than 800 adult learners each year, offering free, small-group instruction to Duval residents aged 18 and older. The library enables individuals to enhance their English skills, prepare for their GED test, or pursue U.S. citizenship. Community First Cares Foundation matched every donation made to the Library Foundation up to $10,000.

Through our partnership, we fund free field trips and transportation to the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens for nearly 5,000 students each year from Title I and underserved schools. These visits immerse students in visual art, cultural history, and nature. Experiences like this spark imagination, build critical thinking skills, and open new pathways for learning. Guided by museum educators and docents, students engage with creativity, art and world history on a field trip that is meaningful and lasting.

Beaches Go Green provides awareness and education around the waste that humans produce and how it impacts our oceans. Community First Cares Foundation partnered with Beaches Go Green to help purchase 5,000 native plants that help to prevent flooding and erosion in Jacksonville Beach. Along with funding and volunteer hours, this initiative helped mitigate storm damage and make the beach a safer place.

We are committed to funding monthly food distributions hosted by the Schell-Sweet Community Resource Center at Edward Waters University. Community First volunteers join EWU students and staff every month to sort and distribute nonperishables and fresh produce, reinforcing a collective commitment to health, dignity, and service in our community.
