Community First Credit Union Breaks Ground on Northpoint Village Branch
Credit Union launches construction of its 20th branch
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 7, 2023 – Community First Credit Union, one of Florida’s largest credit unions serving anyone who lives or works on the First Coast, launched construction of its Northpoint Village branch at the intersection of Yellow Bluff and New Berlin Roads in an event held Tuesday. The new branch at Northpoint Village adjacent to Publix, will open by the end of 2023.
Community First along with it construction partner Auld & White and architecture firm TTV Architects celebrated the groundbreaking with a commemoration at the site. The event featured honored guests who are passionate members of Community First who have wanted a branch in their neighborhood for some time. Community First purchased the 1.04-acre lot in July 2022.
Community First’s new, freestanding branch with a drive thru will be the institution’s 20th location. The branch features Community First’s new branch design with 3,300 square feet including an open floorplan, upgraded digital technologies and a historical mural depicting the history of Cedar Point and North Jacksonville. The new branch serves to fill a gap in the availability of ATMs and financial institutions in this growing area.

The new branch location is part of the credit union’s Branch Transformation Project, the credit union’s comprehensive branch upgrade which improves member service by configuring the spaces to create a more modern retail experience. The new branch interiors feature several upgrades including an open floor plan, a warm, welcoming environment and advanced digital technologies.
Community First is undertaking its largest one-time investment in its branch network. The credit union recently opened its relocated Mandarin Branch in Mandarin Station. Community First is also planning to break ground soon on its new, freestanding branch at Boulevard Crossing (Beach and University Boulevards) which will include connected outparcel retail in the micro-development.
