Community First Credit Union Mandarin Branch Now Officially Open at Mandarin Station
Credit union to celebrate grand opening this week
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 25, 2023 – Community First Credit Union, one of Florida’s largest credit unions serving anyone who lives or works on the First Coast, announces it has opened its new retail location in Mandarin which replaced its former branch nearby. Community First renovated the location at 11200 San Jose Blvd., Suite 105 and will celebrate its grand opening through Jan. 28th.
The new Mandarin branch offers members an upgraded banking experience including traditional drive-thru service along with a walk-up ATM, both of which were not available at the former location. Additional features include a signature historic mural depicting the community, something Community First customizes for all its new branches. Renovations included interior and exterior improvements and reconfigurations.
Community First Credit Union has more than 7,000 members in the Mandarin area, and it has served members in the neighborhood since 1996. The former location at 11701 San Jose Blvd. has now officially closed.
“We are excited to deliver a new and improved in-branch experience for our Mandarin-area members,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First. “Expanding services in our branches is important to us and we’re making an unprecedented investment in new and improved branches across our network.”
Community First has two new, freestanding locations in planning and development including a branch at Northpoint Village (at New Berlin and Yellow Bluff Roads) and a branch at Boulevard Crossing (at Beach and University Boulevards).
The new branches are part of the credit union’s Branch Transformation Project, its comprehensive branch upgrade which seeks to improve member service by configuring its offices to create a more modern retail experience. The new branch interiors feature several upgrades including an open floor plan, a warm, welcoming environment and advanced digital technologies.
Renovations of the new 3,122-square-foot location commenced in June 2022. TTV Architects designed the new location. NAI Hallmark brokered the credit union’s 10-year lease at the location.
