Community First Credit Union Opens Branch at Southside Quarter

Credit union relocated its Baymeadows Branch to the new Gate Parkway Development

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., November 18, 2024 – Community First Credit Union announces it has officially opened its new Gate Parkway Branch in the new Southside Quarter development. The credit union’s Baymeadows location on nearby Baymeadows Road was relocated to the new Gate Parkway Branch.

Southside Quarter is a new master development at Gate Parkway between Burnt Mill Road and Village Crossing Road. It is west of I-295 and south of J. Turner Butler Blvd. The credit union’s 3,600-square-foot Gate Parkway Branch features a full-service lobby and drive-thru, two ATMs (drive-up and walk-up), and Community First’s signature tower feature.

Designed with Community First's modern branch concept, the Gate Parkway Branch has an open floor plan, upgraded digital technologies, and a mural depicting the history of the Southside. The branch is serving the nearly 7,000 Community First members living within five miles Southside Quarter.

Community First has served the Baymeadows and Southside areas with a branch for 23 years and was in its Baymeadows Road location since 2006.

Community First is undertaking its largest historic investment in its branch network with six new branches announced or opened since 2022 when it had 19 locations. The credit union recently announced the start of construction of its Beachwalk Branch (Branch 23) and Callahan Branch (Branch 24) and a property purchase for its future Treaty Oaks location in St. Johns (Branch 25).
